Ásbrú innovation

There is much emphasis on innovation at Ásbrú. One can say that Ásbrú is the sketchpad for the entrepreneurial poet. We provide the tools and the facilities, but the poets write the epic poetry.

There are basically three ways for an entrepreneur to come to Ásbrú.

The first is to buy or rent facilities. The second is Eldey entrepreneur centre where the Icelandic Innovation Centre provides facilities and support for entrepreneurs. The facilities at Eldey are 3.300 m2 and are divided into offices and workshops. The third way in is through the undergraduate diploma in entrepreneurship at Keilir School of Creative Industries. Its goal is to educate and graduate students who will use their creativity to further our society. The undergraduate diploma in entrepreneurship at Keilir School of Creative Industries is in cooperation with the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Iceland and the Icelandic Innovation Centre.

There are already several entrepreneurs at Ásbrú. The first green data centre in Iceland will soon rise at Ásbrú, built by Verne Global. Einar Bárðarson, entrepreneurial poet, has hosted grand events at the Officer’s Club at Ásbrú and Jónína Benediktsdóttir has started a spa treatment facility at Ásbrú. Ásbrú will consist of entrepreneurs such as these.
